did anyone get some cramping around the time their period was due and thought they were about to start, only to discover they were pregnant instead?? I discovered I was pregnant 4 days before my period was due, and over the last couple days, at the time I was due, I have had some light cramping. Just wanted to check this is normal.
Thanks

Yes its perfectly normal, the fertilised egg has to attach itself to the wall of the uterus and this can make u feel crampy, its just a sign that ur body is gettin used to makin a baby congratulations and good luck xxx

Yes, this is totally normal. I noticed that the first time when I thought I was going to get my period and already was late and still had the cramping. Went to the dr and he confirmed I was pregant. I didn't know as much with my first pregnancy. My second pregnancy I was the same way and knew what to expect this time around. You still get the same cramping throughout your pregnancy. the cramping is also the body telling you that it's getting ready for the baby. So many changes happen so fast that it's just amazing how the body works. Congratulations!

I cramped something awful, then got my period. Was really upset, because we had just started trying, and I thought it didn't work. My period was really short though, like 3 days. Turned out I was pregnant the entire time! Anyway, my doc said cramping a little was normal. Said it is because everything is beginning to stretch.

I got light cramping and lately have had some stronger cramping and I'm 22 weeks pregnant! Get used to it! Just because you're not having your cycle doesn't mean you're bodies not making room for baby. <-- Which is the cause for some uncomfortability at times. :) Congrats!

I had that cramping. I thought I was going to start my period, was running around with a heating pad, etc. Nine months later, I had a baby girl! Congratulations!!!!

last time i didnt feel that way but, this time i was sure i would start my period. a friend of mine took a pregnancy test so i decided to do one with her just for kicks. we were both positive. cramping is normal because everything is stretching out in there.

I'm having now and my period is supposed to start today, although 6 hpt's tell me I'm not going to get it. But I've had three children and with all of them I felt like my insides were going to fall out around the time of my first missed period. I have three beautiful healthy daughters, but it's normal. Call your doctor and make your first appointment.....CONGRATS!!!!
