Many people do that. I have already felt the pain of hatred and unpopularity. In a sense it is what made me realize what to avoid and what to keep going on doing. For instance. I don’t like illegal immigration, but I fight for the wrongs done to immigrate that are doing the process the right way. (Making me of course unpopular with the illegal)

I fight for the right to be able to speak the gospel of Jesus and the laws of god in the old testament (which makes me unpopular with atheists and Satanist and some wiccan's as well as those who only want to listen to just the new testament) I fight for the wrongs done to the poor and the wrongs done by people using the system illegally (which makes me unpopular with the abusers of the system.) so you see there are many ways to achieve and consider where the people of hatred and unpopularity can be a negative and a positive, one way shows who is in the right(the illegal or legal person) who is in the path that better helps their life.(those who choose to only read what they want to live their life by the bible or those who completely follow the whole bible, of course this part people have trouble with because of the different beliefs and teaching and interpretations.)Hatred of someone is of that person’s choice to hate, many hate because they don’t like that their comfort zone is being attacked. The unpopularity is the result of that hate in so many ways. Many TV evangelists get that very often, politicians, activities. Each one thinks they are in the right and fight the walls of hatred and misconceptions. Which leads to the unpopularity. Which I know what I have already said will make me unpopular with people as well as some will hate me for my own causes. But my strength in god almighty and the lord Jesus Christ is why I don’t give up. The issues of knowing right from wrong are my key to my causes. They may be my own ideas of right and wrong (although some are backed by laws as well) but I never give up.

Not if your goals were to be loved and popular.
