owls, herons, otters, grass snakes, other toads

why would anyone want to eat such beautiful creatures?
why should humans persecute them - they do more good than harm by eating garden pests (worms, slugs etc). Frog & toads in your gardens should be encouraged at all costs. Go ahead - build a pond for them.
