You don't. Once you have typed out your letter, print it out. Just write on the envelope with a pen.

Basically, it's just a matter of selecting the size of your output.
In Microsoft Word, for instance, click on File, and then Page Layout. Select the size of the envelopes you are using or change the Margin Layout to customize.

Most word processors will print an address and your return address on an envelope. Your answers so far tell how on MS Word. In WordPerfect, clk Format / envelopes.
You don't say what program you are using but if you go to Help and type envelopes, you may get instructions for that program.

In Microsoft Word, there is a template for envelopes. Click "File", "New", then choose envelopes and select your size and fonts. It will walk you through the process.

You have several ways to do this, you can use the page layout settings and there may be an option in your printer settings (file - print with preview).
