I think Muslims bring a bad rap to themselves by not standing up against those Islamic fundamentalist Muslims who believe terror and violence are their sword of Allah. If they want me to not look at them funny and worry about them then tell them to stand up against their wayward brethren and show me that they too want them to cease their ways. Otherwise, my opinion will remain unchanged.

Other people would believe that Islam is a peaceful religion if they would take the time to study the religion instead of letting what is presented in the media determine their opinion of an entire religion. All (or at least the ones I remember) the posts on here express nothing except ignorance and ethnocentrism. Talk to some Muslims because they are very peaceful. It's the small minority of extremists that have done terrible things like 9-11.

Good for you, now if you can you get anyone to show us these peaceful Muslims than possibly someone may believe you. When I see Muslims outraged at the killings and slaughtering of people that is being done in the name of Allah and not a peep out of the Muslim community other than a token, gee that's too bad, then you may be able to sway my opinion. That is not what I see, so I am going to have to disagree with your opinion.

Have you seen and heard what Muslims are doing to other Muslims in Iraq at the request of clerics? Are you aware of the mass rapes and murders in Africa carried out under the name of Mohamed?
Are these atrocities being committed by Buddhists?

Muslims alone are the peacfull community in the world.
If you are a muslim or if you are aware of Islam and muslims
you must be sure about the peacefullness.

Don't let the few peaceful Muslims fool you into thinking they are all like that. There are many extremists and talibans who very much want us dead. If you can't take the 9-11 attacks seriously on that note, I don't know what it will take to prove to people like you that they are serious about killing us.

In terms of number of people that are violent, christians and muslims probably have or have had the most. But just becaue of this you cant finger the entire community.
