It is a game of deduction where the numbers are easily recognised symbols.
You have to place the numbers 1 - 9 in nine boxes so that the same number does not appear more than once in any column or row.

Carol Vorderman has "written" a very good book about it.

the rules say that every row, every column and every box should contain all the figures 1-9 once only.
When you have a go, start with a really easy one, don't dive straight into 'difficult'. You will soon get the hang of it.
There is no one way of playing. Check each line: is there a number 1? a number 2? If not, where could it go? If there is only one place it can go, enter it in its box. Do the columns and the 3X3 boxes in the same way. As you fill in the spaces, the possibilities for the other spaces become more and more limited therefore easier to fill in. For instance, you find a 5, that means you can't have another 5 in that 3X3 box, that row or that column.
It sounds complicated but it isn't really, just have a go and you will see!

No math involved. No real strategy. Numbers can only be used once, per box, and per line. Until you become a master of this, the one important rule is to always use a pencil with a good eraser.

You try to get all the numbers from 1-10 in the little squares and each line too, without repeating the same number in the line or box twice, Pretty hard huh?

3x3 box grid, containing 9 numbers in each box.

to solve the puzzle, you must fill in all the blanks with no. 1-9, each box should contain 1-9 once, no repeats, the same with the entire rows and columns. once completed you should have 9x(1,2,3,.....8,9). Its easy once you get the hang of it.

each line has 1-9 in it. no repeats. each column has 1-9 in it. each box has 1-9 in it. try writing down all the possiblilities. If a number is the only number in the bow or column, that's the number whould write in.

Try to get 9 numbers in a row and in each box, you shouldn't have two numbers the same in each row or box, it's really easy once you get used to it, it's fun, try it.
