it wont connect to any web pages, it just stays blank and in the bottom left says lookin up.................what ever site im trying to access. i have uninstalled and reinstlled but it just does the same. if i look for updates it just keeps looking and nothing happens.
im am using internet explorer to post this but that means i cant use my firefox extensions......please someone help

Download the new Internet Explorer 7 beta 2. I have it and i have to say it's the best! Firefox is ****! I had so many problems with it!

The usual explanation is a firewall, even the Windows one.
To check wether your XP is letting Firefox communicate with the world get into "Control Panel", open up the Security Center and if you look under the "exemptions" tab you should see Firefox. If not you can direct the S.C. to allow it by pointing to "Firefox.exe" which will be somewhere in your Program Files.
The same exemption should be used for any other firewalls you may have installed.
An easy re-install can be achieved but remember to connect to the net before installation, this way firewalls should detect a new programme and ask your persmission for it to do so.

Check your firewall settings are allowing outgoing and incoming connections for Firefox.

OK, uninstall Firefox. Reboot your computer. Reinstall Firefox. Reboot your computer. Then, it should work just fine.

needs to be updated same thing happen to me last week go to their web page

youll have to reinstall firefox no need to uninstall it will just up date your settings sorry couldn't anwser your email

If you have a firewall, allow firefox to go through it.

just reboot computer, i have the same problem sometimes!
