does anyone know the reason behind shire horses wearing brasses and also darts in the mane?

that ;is ;the design installed or put by the owners of those horses for your eyes to say whether you can appreciate it or not. no wonder why there is no such meaning on it those are considered decorations on horses

pomp and circumstance. shires were big horses and they did displays... and they were dressed by proud owners... not much different to putting flash rims and a go faster stripe on your BMW...
