Yes, particularly streptococcus bacteria (similar in form to that of E. Coli) Due to the inhospitably of the vacuum of space only these types of bacteria can survive, while on planets that are extremely hot is is believed that the most likely form of life is thermophile bacteria and possibly some halophiles.
Short answer: Yes, mainly different groups of survivalist bacteria

A lot of people answered this question by saying yes or probably. That makes me wonder if those people have taken into account the incredible complexity of life and the systems that sustain it. The earth has an amazing "coincidence" of factors that make it favorable to life. Those factors include: the earth's distance from the sun which keeps the temperature just right; the size of the moon which makes the tides just right, the presence of fresh, liquid, drinkable water; etc, etc. And even if a planet could be found that would sustain life... then you must face the odds against life appearing by chance. The person who mentioned "survivalist bacteria" seems to have a more realistic view. Aliens are unlikely.

If our sciences are correct and statistics are valid then almost certainly there is life somewhere else in the universe and likely even intelligent life. To believe that such 'life' will resemble humans is the hyperbole of ethnocentracism. Cosmic distances are huge and it is unlikely that intelligent life exists within even 100 light years (just picking a number out of the ether to give some scale).

We as the human race would be absolutely stupid to believe we were the only possible species. The universe is made up of life giving properties therefore the naswer is YES there other life forms, but rememer, maybe not as we know them !!

may be earth is the first for life.there might be ingrediants out there to make life but earth is the only place which mixed them to make life.We could be the first. It has to start somewhere.in a few million years beings can make there own planets and put them in just the right place near a sun.

There has to be. We cant be the only living things in the universe. And since we go looking for life in outer space, I'm more then sure they do the same. Think about it.

Some scientists believe that life may have actually started on Earth as a result of it drifting in from outer-space. So, the possibility that it exits outside of our planet is pretty high. :)

Yes. We have only explored a minute fragment of a vast universe. There must be some type of life somewhere else, just down to probability, even if it is extremelly primative!

scientists have proof that on mar there were canals... there for there would be some type of oragnism but not like animals. more like bacteria particles ans stufff. there are other belivfs saying that inside of our universe is many more life froms, but its a very very small chance of the life forms being more intellegent as we humans are. Can i have 10 points??? lol
