Why do some people say "bad dreams" and some people call it "nightmares"... what's the difference?... if you're in a dreamstate of sleep wouldn't it be called a bad dream?

bad dream=nightmare
nightmare=bad dream.
ai yah, it's jus that some ppl call it differently. i can call it horrible dreams. terrible dreams. wdv i want.

no difference, but i would say that if it was just bad news ect ind dream, then it would be a bad dream but if you wake up shittin yourself thats more of a nightmare lol

anight mare is some thing that probaly doesnt or wont happen when your in a wake mode but a bad dream may of happened or could happen.

a bad dream is just a stupid dream like u didn't get wat u want, a nightmare is like horrible, as in u saw ur parents die :s
that's how i see it :p but i guess they're the same
