Buy Quick Cure, CopperSafe or Maracide from aquarium pet stores & follow the instructions from a week or two treatment. Isolate the fish with ick for treatment. You might want to prevent this in your tank by putting a liitle non iodized salt in the water about a pinch for every gallon of water.

The most effective method I have found for dealing with ich and goldfish if noxick. It is a relatively cheap medication that is readily available at most stores that sell fish or aquarium products. With this medication you will need to remove any carbon you are running with your filtration system ( the carbon will absorb the medication before it treats your problem). You will then place one drop of medication per gallon of aquarium water in the aquarium. Repeat this for three days and then do a partial water change.
