Try a marine supply shop, they've got brass, nickle and stainless steel hardware. You'll find all different shapes and sizes of Snap Shackles, Grommet sets, Fasteners and Tools.

i'm a kiltmaker to trade and use lethaer straps and nickel plate buckles etc.. i get most of this kind of stuff from a company calle richard james weldons.. there based in sidcup.. try googling for them

I'd go to a second hand store or thift shop and buy a old
leather bag and use the parts I need to make your new
item. Enjoy your project.

dont know what part of the UK you are from..butthe factory outlets that sell materials, craft bits and pieces should sell all these things your after.

Decent haberdashery outlets too.
