do the following things........
1>connect the cable to the computer, correctly and in a proper way
2> check if lights are blinking at the lan card, if they are blinking then the lans working.
3> go to network places, check if the lan connection is enabled or not in the " view all connections"
4> if not enabled then enable it.. after enabling it then you should see the lights blinking.........

your lan is connected
if still not connected then try this step
1> go to control panel>administrative tools> ccomputer management> device manager.> ports> see if your computers have the ports enabled or not. if not then enable it and see that your lan is connected................. i think this shall fiz your problem...

if your lan connection are enable and all ports open then the problem then is that no drivers for the lan card was in stalled.
just install the drivers that came with the card. when you bought the card it should have came with a floppy disk or a cd which contain the drivers for the card just install the drivers and this should solve the problem

see that is lan caed light in on or not if not then check the connection on hub

It sounds like a software conflict if your hardware is functioning properly. As such check your software settings to see if that fixes the problem. Have fun with the compatibility kinks as they pop-up.

I had the same problem and I solved it right now! Just change the phone line and see the results.But even if that doesnt help call a technician .

make sure that u fonr have any firewall that is blocking ur connection.Scan ur computer for any spywares and trojan horses.If u have a hub,cut the power off and then supply it with power again.perhaps dis would help u
