Pranayam is a breathing exercise and does no harm at all. There are six types of Pranayam and they are all safe. There are other Yoga exercises for pregnant women.

What I was taught about pranayama is that it is essential to study with a master.
It can be dangerous if it is not done properly, and I'm sure that pregnancy can add additional complications.

i wouldnt recommend it unless the person is experienced because the the breathing excercises can cause stress on the baby however it could be very beneficial again if the person knows what they are doing...
