As far as I am aware the following is allowed: -

A Laptop size Rucksack or bag, and the bag cannot contain things like liquids, gels, etc or pressured items, and may only be stored in hold luggage.

The bag can contain the usual electrical items, medicines and tablets, baby milk and liquid foods (but must be tasted mother or other passenger).

Hope that helps - but anymore queries I would check with the specific airline your are travelling with.

with all the changes why not call the airport and get it directly from them? Different airports are giving you different answers. The common answer of No nos are:

No liquids, no drinks, no gels, no knives, no makeup, so basically, just take your wallet and a magazine.
