My uncle received a liver in 1994 and it prolonged his life for 8 years. I wish more people would realize that they have no use for their organs in the grave, and so many lives can be saved with them if they would just sign their donor cards.

I will be in need of a heart/lung transplant myself if my condition doesn't deteriorate too quickly, so this is an important subject for me.

Best gift someone can give before and after death. When I die, I hope my organs go to good use. I hope in the future, that lungs can be transplanted with a good success rate. I'm a non smoker, so mine might be useful to someone.

its the kindest most giving thng some one can do. even though their own life has passed they are kind enough to think about someone elses life to continue living longer by having someting of theirs. i'm sure more people would be up for it if it was one of their loved one who was needing something.

depends on your point of view. The way I see it, they are your organs, why bury something to rot when it can benefit someone else who will be buried without it.

I have no problem with it, I have registered to leave my organs for donation when I die. They will after all be of no use to me.
