why does my wife only buy white knickers. They are boring I have told her. I have tried buying varing colours also. Oh and she only wears tights. Says stockings, holdups are uncomfortable. she is only 31 not a granny as I have told her.

Believe me if she felt cared for and respected by you she would be wearing anything you asked! Seriously, ask her how she feels when you call her a granny and how her underwear is boring! A woman takes this as 'he doesn't think I am enough'. It sounds like you wife isn't going to be manipulated by you to be something she isn't, so good for her. It can only go down hill from here if you don't wake up and take a good look at what sort of person you are - may be she'll wake up soon and leave you for someone who appreciates her JUST AS SHE IS.
Also, if you want to empathise with your wife, why dont you wear stockings for the next couple of weeks.

All down to personal preference of the wearer IMHO.
A fair few women out there are also somewhat scared of trying different things out.
My previous GF was much the same, very rarely wore anything but white knicks, and hated holdups etc. It became very boring!!
However, suggest suspended tights!

change can be daunting but stockings and holdups can be comfortable if you get the right size. Try buying her some really nice underwear, being subtle like cream or pastel colours rather than the dark colours, blacks and reds etc.

White is a healthy colour to wear against the skin. Especially in areas where perspiration occurs
