I don't. He's actually a pretty nice guy, and he's a fan of the Red Sox so he can't be all bad. He signed my Sox cap in Boston.
He was everywhere at the Democratic Convention. I think he dated both of Kerry's daughters that week. On reporter wrote:
"It was so quiet in Post Office Square this week, a bomb could have gone off and nobody would have been hurt... except for Ben Affleck, and that's because he was everywhere this week."
As to why other people might dislike him, it's because his last few films have been less than spectacular, both critically and at the box office. You can make great movies nobody sees, or lousy ones that everyone sees, but not lousy movies nobody wants to watch. It is called Show BUSINESS for a reason.

I actually feel sorry for the big dumb dope. But hey! He's doing something fun and something I guess he likes, so more power to him. I wonder though is it his acting skill or is it the movies he gets casted in that are so bad. In the right movie, he has the potential to shine. Kind of like Brad Pitt who sucked (literally) in Interview with a Vampire, Legends of the Fall (get over it teen girls!), Meet Joe Black but he shined in 12 Monkeys, Ocean's 11, and especially in Fight Club.
Maybe Ben just needs the right movie

I don't hate, but i think he got very overexposed w/ J-Lo, so some of it is backlash. also he makes a better character actor than a star. If he rebuilds his credibility w/ character roles for a few years and then attempts to be the star again i think he will be better off than if he jumps back into lead roles already, that and if he stays a character actor he'll get more work, and still be able to stay home with the Hot wife and cute kid

Very bad actor - I don't understand the Venecian jury (this year's Gold Lion for Best Actor in Hollywoodland) - Adrien Brody simply outacted him! Plain face, constrained movements... that's about it.
