I am running AVG 7.1 professional Anti-Virus Program. It has been scanning for almost two hours and I am so alarmed, as it shows dozens and dozens of Results/Infections: Potentially harmful program DialerBZP. I have gone into the 'path' it indicates, C:WINDOWS3 but don't know where to find this dialer. I have also looked at my 'show other connections' and all it shows is my network connection, orangeanytime. Could someone tell me how I locate this dialer and get rid of it? It's now up 45 infected objects which also lists loads of a virus called Obfuskated??? Help!

A dialer is a virus spyware that if you use dial up will dial out when your computer is left on, usually to some 800 number which charges by the minute, AVG will remove them when it can, no anti virus program is 100%. use adaware and Spybot with it to get anything AVG cant.

scan the windows registry.
run regedit command in RUN
search for that dialer through find command
delete it
repeat the find by pressing F3 key again delete if found.
go on till it displays the message no match found.
restart the comp.
Enjoy.

Once the AV scan is complete it should be gone, if not, try a diffenent AV program like Avast, which is also free. Also install Spybot Search and Destroy. And running Firefox as your web browser would also be a good idea.

If you don't have really important files, i would suggest reformatting your hard drive and installing windows again. That way, you can start fresh without any viruses, adware or spyware.

Granted, it is not a great choice to do all the time, but when your system is really screwed, it saves time and hassle.

Try running adaware and spybot too, maybe they can catch it.

Start>Search Choose "All Files and Folders" and Enter "DialerBZP"

You can delete it but I suggest you leave it in the Recycle Bin for a few days. It might be part of another application.

Don't install more crap on your computer. One anti-virus is enough.

I can't find anything about DialerBZP on Google.

ok thats bad.

u gotta wait until its finished scanning, then it'll delete what it can, but probaly not all of them.

you gotta track the virus and delete is all, click in my computer then search on the top panel, on the search type in dialerBZP, and then search again with Obfuskated, both searches delete anything which is found. good luck.
