Any medical journal such as the BMJ (British Medical Journal) is likely to have an example of this. A 'meta-analysis' article is a critical review of a number of previous studies on the same subject. There was a critical appraisal recently looking in more detail at two big studies done a few years ago on the use of HRT - these studies were called the WHI (Women's Health Initiative study) and the MWS (Million Women Study).
