in my 6thgrade school, there is this friend i made called ryan. he is a good friend, but not the type that'll say "u have something on your face". later in sixth grade, i made a friend called fernando. he's not a true friend, but he has a soft spot and he'll stick up for u and protect u and stuff. Plus i can relate to him because we both like doing the same stuff. SO in th grade, i made a friend called michael, and he was a true friend, but fernando was my best friend in 7th grade and i often ignored michael. i never saw ryan that year. so now in 8th grade, fernando moved away, and i have to spend more time with michael. but this time, him AND ryan are both in my gym class. when the teacher tells us to pick teams, i always go with ryan,
1. he's athletic 2. he's funny 3. he was my first middle school friend
but then michael is a true friend and he always follows me when i go with ryan btw, did i mention michael is not that attractive? what i'm asking of y'all is some advice

In school study go with the smart friend. This person will help to improve your grades and your education.
Through life you will have many types of best friends. So don't make yourself crazy over which person to hang out with, be friends with lots of people.

They all three should be one in the same. A true friend will know one day he'll be an old friend who you can always relate to as long as you don't go Postal or something crazy.

i think you should probably pick ryan since he's funnier and you can relate to him better.. but you shouldn't ignore micheal niether. you should become close friends with them both. i have a lot of friends but i noe who are really my true friends. my best friend is jessica but i also hang out with my other friends. i try not to make them feel left out.
