Not unless you just sit around, don't exercise and eat cheetos all day. Make sure you eat healthy, exercise and follow a healthy lifestyle. Don't smoke or drink while pregnant. Take prenatal supplements, get out walking or swimming. Good luck on your future child. I hope he/she will be healthy!

Anything you gain over 20 - 25 lbs. is not baby and that is being generous. This is based on a single birth. Try to replace healthy snacks rather than ones in high calories. Once you have the baby Weight Watchers is a great program that is a lifetime commitment. If you start to take the weight off immediately after your Dr. allows, you will be find. Best of Luck! If you need more information on weight watchers you can contact me direct as I have just lost 75lbs. through their program.

I would have to say no, I'm 5'10 and I have a large frame, not fat my any means, but I'm not a bean pole. When I got pregnant I weighed 186 and I only gained 11 lbs in my entire pregnancy. It's all about how you and and your activity level. Just be careful, eat when you're hungry and don't when you're not. I got so tired of people telling me I was starving my baby because I totally lost my appetite with all three of mine and this one too. I have a 7lb 12oz baby with my first and I think that's the one I ate the least with. Just be careful and be smart! Good luck to you!

Not if you still do everything right. Some people take pregnancy as an excuse to eat for two, usually an excuse to eat chocolate for two and then complain when they can't get the weight off.
Just eat as much as you need, and eat healthy. Exercise is also good but can be harder to do in pregnancy. Then once you've had the baby keep eating right and keep exercising and you should be fine.
