hers some i havnt tried but sound ok:

A player must roll two dice on his turn, but may select any two dice from a set of four sided, six sided, eight sided, and ten sided dice.

A player may choose to roll only one die on his or her turn rather than two. If the player rolls a one, he or she must go directly to jail for making an "impossible" movement.

Whenever a player lands on a railroad, the player may choose to move his or her token to any other railroad owned by the same player

Players may build up to two hotels on a property. Rent must be paid on all buildings on a property

Ooh, good question!

1. The game starts with five bills of every denomination for each player. Free Parking gets 1 bill of every denomination, or we pay Chance and Community Chest and all taxes into the center for the lucky recipient.

2. You can buy Chance and Community Chest cards in an auction and use them on any player when it's your turn.

3. Five houses = One hotel.

4. You can have more than one hotel.

5. When we run out of houses and hotels, we use pennies for houses and dimes for hotels. Similarly, when we run out of money (which we always do), we make more out of paper.

6. If you get sent to jail and another player is already there you have the option of either paying that person $100 or being that person's b****. If you choose to be the other player's b****, then that player gets one free landing of his or her choice on any one of your properties.

The Free Parking Pot Rule is a good one, and having everyone start the game with a property is an equally excellent choice of variation.

I don't think this one is in the rule book.
When you have to pay money to the bank for fees etc when you collect a community chest card or a chance card, we put it in the middle of the game board. Then when someone lands on free parking they can have all the money which has been collected in the middle. It sometimes adds up to quite a lot.

our family has always made the rule that when paying tax from chance or other fees are paid we put it in the middle and anyone landing on free parking gets the $$...makes it more interesting and fun

we put all the money paid in fines in to a mug in the middle of the board. Everytime someone lands on free parking, they get the cash.
