I have to do a health check for a city job that I’ve applied, so I went to the hospital where they’ve assigned me to go. The nurse gave me a TB shot and blood draw. I came back two days later after, the nurse told me they need to draw my blood again without knowing any reason. I let them because I still want the job. The next day, the manager gave me a call and said I need to go back for another draw because they putted my blood in the wrong tube and it couldn’t be testify. Should I go back for another draw? Is it bad for my health to have blood draw more than twice??

go back.. mistakes are made. be thankful they didn't give the manager someone else's results. The little blood they take is not harmful to you... Unlike donating blood where they seem to take gallons (just kidding)

If I were you I would go back and have some more blood taken. You can generally loose upto a pint of blood (1/2 a litre) and I often do during blood donation with little or no effect. The health people reccomend that you only give this quantity of blood once every few months though. I guess you are talking about test tube size blood samples? In which it should not be a problem. It is easy to make a mistake, always better to go back and get a true answer.

I would be wondering why the lab screws up so often and wouldn't trust them labeling it or doing it right after the mistakes being made twice. I think you should ask if a different independant lab can be used since that one has issues with quality control. If you need the job desparately go ahead and go back w/o complaining, but if you get the ob wait a bit them write a written concern or complaint tothosein charge of it.Research that lab to see if they have alot of health violations for inaccuracy.

No, it is not bad for your health to have you blood drawn more than twice. Some people have to have their blood drawn on a regular basis because of needing to monitor their blood levels of medications that they are taking. My husband has to have his drawn every two weeks because of a blood thinner that he is taking to make sure that he isn't take too much medication which would cause him to bleed too much if he was injured.

No, it won't affect your health...for a blood test they take a small amount. I think what you are referring to as a health risk is when you donate blood, there is a limit...that is because they take a pint during donations

I hate needles and I break out in a cold sweat when they bring them out so I don't think I would go back, but thats just me.
