I've always wanted to know the secret to winning the side games at amusement parks and carnivals!

I'm wondering if anyone has any tips on how to win carnival games!!!

With many of them, the best way to "win" is not to play. Carnival games are notorious for being rigged so that winning is next to impossible (and sometimes 100% impossible).

You usually don't win.
It is sort of like gambling in a casino. you might win sometimes, but the house always wins in the long run.
having said that, if you understand the real details of the game ( like where a doll is weighted, or how much room there is between items) you may be able to figure out the physics. That still doesn't mean you can win.
and, just so you know, the games where you can win great big bears?
they also have 3 inch plastic bears that are not displayed. So if it says "Everyone wins a bear" it doesn't necessarily mean that you will win one of the big nifty bears you can see.

I worked a few carnivals when I was much younger. I worked the dart toss joint, where you throw dull darts at under-inflated balloons; I worked a shoot the target site where the barrels and sites were bent; and I worked the milk jug toss where the hole was barely enough to drop a softball in from right above it, most would bounce off.
On my first day working, the other carnies told me: Your apron has 3 pockets in it, one is for the boss, one is for your legal take, and the other is for your illegal take (we were supposed to get one of every three dollars, but the carnies taught you to take two of every three, it was standard carnie operation).
This wasn't for me, I wanted to do something more honest, so I became a car salesman (lol). The answer to your question is that you don't win. Yes you see people win, even a dull dart will occasionally pop a dull balloon, or a bad shot can sometimes hit a target with a bad gun.

Dont waste ur time or money on them. My boyfriend and i went Canada's wonderland and he wanted to win something for my niece (bear or sumthin) and he played basket ball the Balls were BIGGER then the hole!
If 1 is rigged u kno 99.999% of them will b as well and ur chances of winning are 1 in 10000000 as s/he said b4. U may get a lucky toss/shoot/throw etc but ur chances r VERY low!

ask the ppl who own the game they fix it where u either win or lose is a game of chance and chances are u won't win
