Not unlike most people, I have a bulk mail box filled with junk mail from people I've never heard of. Then there's my regular mail box, which also gest more than its share of junk mail. I realize I can eliminate some of them by opening each and every
e-maill and un-subscribe to it. However....
If I have a spam type operation available on my Yahoo. system how do I access it!
And if it's already ''working" why do I have a ton of junk mail in my regular box, and 3 tons of junk mail in my "bulk" mail box, what' the difference and how do I start making my spam blocker work for me?

Me, I use the filters and I also use the Block unsubscribe -- by website if at all possible.

And yes, to me too, the Bulk/Spam is pretty much the same -- and I really do HATE spam messages -- I don't open them, just check the message, and hit the 'spam' key, but in reality -- these junk mails are 'fishing' for open accounts in the hopes of scamming you out of your hard-earned income.

In that case -- just delete. IT is ANNOYING, and yes, the SPAM filters are not yet to the stage where we can put in a key word (and they can recognize all the possible variations of the same -- and spammers are well aware folks like me to that -- so deliberately misspell to AVOID the Spam Filter Keys) and have it work with misspellings, etc. And there are NOT ENOUGH available key-word blocks to make without being charged monthly fees.

So no matter what -- until these spammers are shut down, and their sites disabled, and they are jailed, they will continue to spam and bombard e-mailboxes with trash.

I liken this to the fact that no matter what -- even with phone numbers on the Federal Registry to NOT get solicited by phone -- one STILL has to deal with ANNOYING Phone calls begging for money or offers. I report each of these as well (and I do have caller ID -- so I report that information there), there will still be some who set up shop and do these phonespams, and will do it until caught and prosecuted.

Spam and bulk means the same thing - junk mail. Yes, I'm one of the mailbox users like you. I created a folder called Bulk in Windows Live Mail. I place all junk mails inside this folder so that I can go back and refer if I have the time for.

Spam and bulk mail are the same thing, whenever you get junk mail in your normal inbox in yhoo press the spam icon over the message.

Also never press any unsubrcribe button just delete, the unsubscribe is how the spammers confirm that you have a live email address and you will revieve even more spam

When you get it in your inbox, mark it as spam. It deletes it and blocks the sender from sending it to you. Your bulk mail is for the spam mail. If you want you could move all your bulk mail to your inbox then mark it all as spam. However I would just delete your bulk mail all at once cause your not going to be able to stop all the spam mail.

I classify Bulk and Spam as the same thing really.

I would be cautious unsubscribing from "Spam" emails you never asked for in the first place. Sometimes it is a way for them to confirm.

It's because scammers are aware they get branded. So they keep on creating new E-mail address locations to send from so it doesn't get classified as Spam until someone marks it as such.
