Well, you could start with the literal. Sit comfortably, in lotus if you are able, but with your back really straight. As straight as you can get and hold a steady position. Hold a hand mirror in your hand, and allow yourself to really gaze into your own face. Don't talk to yourself, or make jokes about it, just gaze. What is your reflection trying to say to you? What do you need to tell yourself? Listen carefully. Hold the dialog inside your head, and just gaze.

yea write down direction changes in life and the causes of these changes. Always know the path you are trying to take and find out the reason for such deviation in the first place. Once you are done self reflecting, you gotta remember that you can't just pick up and go anymore, you gotta change things and set up a way for yourself to make the most of your life. Encorporate some values in your life, they will make your life a lot better to live and for others to be a part of.
and by looking into a mirror you are not really self reflecting, you are reflecting your own surface and not looking with in...get away from the mirror to see your true self and then you can begin the process the reflection, by recalling events in your life rather than making your face the event of the moment.

I would start writing a Journal. I would exam what has gotten you side-tracked on your path. I would make the changes needed. Some changes might take long-term commitment, while others can be instituted right away. Write down your goals. What is hampering you from obtaining them? Get rid of as much negativity in your life as possible, whether it be a caustic relationship or harboring grudges. Hope this helps!

Great idea.
I'd start by thinking about people you admire... not just for being smart or being athletic or something, but more people you admire for *who* they are. For me, Elizabeth Taylor comes to mind, John Stewart. John Kenedy. etc. These might become able to represent your "best self". A model in your head of some respectable ideal.
Then think about how you can become more like that person you've modeled in your head.

choose a comfortable spot for you (indoors or outdoors) and meditate or something... write down what comes to mind in those moments and ask ppl close 2 u what's their image of you then make a comparison. don't get anxious. if you don't find your path from the first try don't quit. for me it took a few months of trying and then the answer came by itself.

remember events in your life, write them down, then write the approx times/days/seasons, whatever, then add the people you remember, and mix it all together. Make your own time line of your life. Then you can become yourself again.
