false. any lottery that claims you won and you did not buy a ticket and give them your email address on a legitimate website will not just give away money. if you do win something online it'll be worth a few dollars, NOBODY GIVES AWAY BIG MONEY FOR NO REASON. the most i have seen given away legitmately is a car for registering for a website and 1 person out of a million has won. Also remember that everyone has gotten that email 10-1000 times, if it were legtimate everyone would be millionaires.

Blah blah blah. Scam scam scam.
Even then, how are they going to verify your real address and ID? You can only do that by sending in your ID. If you do that, how do you know they're not going to copy your photo and make Illegal Passports?
On top of that, you have to deal with the exchange rate if it's in foreign currency. That's even assuming it's legitimate and you pay whatever money in postage, communication, and calling bogus/fake phone numbers that rack up your phone bill.
If you want to get scammed, just do it within your country. No need to go internationally to get ripped off.

It's FALSE!!! I learned from a friend who was a computer expert that you can google anything (specially those emails talking about someone who had disapeared or has a terrible disease!) and find out if it's true or not - which I did!, and I found uot it is a scam to steal all of your personal information!
DON'T FALL FOR THAT ONE!!!
Just my two cents! ;-)

No, it is a lottery-related scam. There's more info on how these scams work and how they get you to part with cash before you get your 'winnings' on various sites. Here's one http://www.national-lottery.com/scams2.htm

It's a scam, comparable with the Nigerian bank fraud scam. They will send you all kind of so called details if you react and than it starts: 'please send xxx $ for costs of delivery'. The only delivery they will make though is to their own pockets.
