But saying that they have to touch it to lift it up,
They say you should put the lid down before you flush, because tiny particles of bacteria and poo go into the apmosphere, nice thought lol
Maybe they are just lazy

I explain to my husband all the time. It is a seat - it is meant to be down. The lid is meant to be closed. And then I explain how to clean it, too.
Why don't they just invent a toilet with a lever that lifts the darn thing up when you step on it?

I have never really understood this obsession that some women seem to have about men leaving the seat up.
They go to the loo, they lift the seat rather than risk wetting it. They flush the toilet and go on their merry way rejoicing. So far so good. I think they just forget because they have done what they needed to do.
The mystery as far as I am concerned is, what is the big deal ? We go to the toilet after a man has used it and left the seat up, we put the seat down. It is easy. What is the problem? You never ever hear of a man complaining about a woman leaving the seat down after she has finished using it!
And yes, I am a woman!

They are lazy and they feel that they had to lift it up up so the next person should have to put it down.
When I get on my husband about that he says " I am a man we have 2 sons you are the only female in the house, therefor it should remain up and you should put it down when you go in there."
When I started to tell him that if he didnt start putting it down he was going to clean it 2 times a week. He quickly starting to remember to put it back down. LOL

ok, right this is nutrition for concept: whilst the seat is left up by using all of us and the lavatory flushed in the open place, all that waste aerosols into the air spreading that surprising mess onto your hand towels, teeth brushes, hair brushes, ect. so which you wash your arms and dry them on a towel that has merely been contaminated with what you washed off of your arms. reliable adequate reason to close the lavatory thoroughly? Satisfies all in my homestead, adult adult males and girls. "Seats down" (pun meant:, arms down)

I must be in touch with my feminine side then cos I always put the lid down.

Is it really such a big problem for women to put the seat down? Think yourself lucky we bother to lift it in the first place.

it's because some men are considerate. By leaving the seat up when they pee, the seat will be dry when you sit on it. Don't you wish all men (and boys) do the same?
