yes it is a studied fact by psychologist that young infants up until the age of 4 listening to classical Mozart and other calming and relaxing music will allow the brain to adapt more quickly to knowledge as to younger children who have not been introduced are more likely to have a wondering mind. I agree with that theory 110% due to my education of working with children..

It has been proven that classical and techno music
stimulate the mind differently than other types.
This I read rather recently though I can't locate the source.
My guess is that it is due to their complexities.
Most popular music borrows heavily from the western traditions. The drawback is that the vocabulary of popular music in a pure music sense is generally narrow and seems to have gotten narrower in the mainstream over the last 20 years.
It really doesn't matter though,as long as the listener
likes what they hear.

I listen to a LOT of music.Everything.

I've been to a workshop for creative thinking when I was in school a few years ago, and they said something similar too. Classical music is said to make ur brain work better and there have been sometests made. I dunno if it is true but I listen to some classical music and I still struggle in my tests. Or maybe it's the other types of music I listen to. Btw, I listen to almost anything but hip hop/rap.

It doesn't make you smarter, but studying to it is generally less distracting - allowing you to work out abstract concepts better - while also being more calming - which allows you to pick more up into your memory.

It's a good study aid and good to listen to before tests/interviews (espescially if you prepped with it in the background). It generally sets your mind on an even keel while rock, techno, etc. all make you excited at a basic level.

Hope this helps!

Listening to music at a very early age affects the spatial, temporal reasoning that underlies math, engineering, and even chess.

Spatial-temporal reasoning is the ability to create, maintain, transform, and relate complex mental images, even in the absence of external sensory input or feedback. In other words, reasoning through space and time. Math, science, physics, chess, and music all involve this type of reasoning.

Schoolhouse Rock can. I think classical is more conducive to concentration, but it won't make a dim bulb brighter. What do I listen to? Indie Rock mostly. College radio.

i'm undecided. My wager is that that's a mix of fairly some countless issues. mom and dad who pay attention to classical music might have a touch bigger IQ that ought to results of their infant having one. additionally, those mom and dad may be the kind to paintings use flashcards or study to their new child. *i desire it isnt merely Mozart via fact i admire Vivaldi.
