I don't like any of that fantasy/vampire crap. I'm looking for something with a good story behind it. Something normal... not trashy.

I did enjoy "Opposites Attract" by Michelle M Pillow, and some of the Nora Roberts stuff is pretty good. I'm looking forward to reading "Good in Bed" by Jennifer Weiner" just to clue you into my genre.

I'm not a librarian but I have had years of experience working in them and so I suggest based on the fact that their stories are popular check-out and also because I am personally familiar with them (I've read a bit of every genre and so I know these are pretty good suggestions) Lori Foster, Janelle Denison, Susan Johnson, Alison Kent, Erin McCarthy...
but for some Variety try the following authors: Susan Elizabeth Phillips, Gaelen Foley, Sandra Brown, Lorraine Heath, Diane Mott Davidson, Debbie Macomber, Christine Rimmer.

The Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon. Nan Ryan for a lil more risque. Hannah Howell's for generational stories. Julie Garwood's for highland romances they have alot of humor in them as well as love stories. Like so many of the romance series there isn't anything to assimilate so it makes for easy reads. I still love the classic ILIAD. It never grows old or cold.

I never knew I was "into" tall red-headed Scotsmen until I read the Diana Gabaldon books.......first one is called Outlander. They are well-written, a series of books. I would classify them as a cross between historical romance and adventure, but the characters are terrific.......and Jamie is TOTALLY HOT.........and they are good romances too. They are long, first one is about 700 pages, the rest are even longer, but they are captivating, so you don't mind the length.

Good in Bed is a great book, it's just not what you think. It's not sex driven. Read all her books, she's great.

Another suggestion is anything by Jennifer Crusie. She writes an awesome sex scene and she writes normal type books.

My favorite of hers, I think, is Bet Me. Get it, you'll love it!

Good in bed is dull and predictable, but if you like stuff like that you'll probably also like Hotmail (forgot the writer) and the Shopaholic trilogy. (by Sophie Kinsella, could be that there are 4 books now)
Enjoy!
