You need to 'select' the thing you want to copy and paste. Usually you can select the thing by holding the left mouse button down and moving the mouse over the bit you want. Some of it will turn a different colour and that is 'selected'. Then let go of the left button and, keeping the mouse still click the right button. A little list will pop up and u click 'copy'. Then move the mouse to where u want and click right again and click paste.

Fenny is right. As a shortcut, after you highlight the item, you can press the "ctrl" key and "c" at the same time to copy and click where you want to paste the item. Then press the buttons "ctrl" and "v "at the same time to paste.

It's a nightmare when you don't' know what your doing isn't it? I found that the book Computers of Dummies was very helpful, either that or I had to ask my 7 year old niece! Try the book, and good luck!
