NO.................that is the best Movie ever...and it can not be done any better...the color, the clothes, the actors...wow Clark Gable...they don't come like that no more...what a hunk...back in those days..now the new actors, they are all just kids, trying to play MEN..Clark Gable was a real man...the mold has broken since then

It is too much of an icon. I often wonder why they remake movies instead of writing new ones or developing new ones from great books. The only remake I liked better than the original was A Streetcar Names Desire. Jessica Lange developed the character so beautifully that I couldn't believe it. Also, I don't think Vivien Leigh was a very good actress but she did make A Streetcar Named Desire and Gone With the Wind.

I would sure as hell hope they don't.
The original movie is incredibly well done and I don't see how anyone could improve on the acting, direction and the total product.
Some movies never need to be re-made. GWTW is one of those.

There is no re-make of Gone With The Wind. There is a sequel to it - called SCARLETT that you can go rent - but you will be supremely disappointed i can assure you....
