What exactly is your question? If it's how to handle this, I would suggest supporting her in any way possible. Though AIDS has unfortunately become a common disease, people who are diagnosed as being HIV positive still receive little support from their community. Let her know you will always be there for her and to encourage her to treat the problem, attend doctor's appointments with her.
With today's treatments, people that are HIV + can still lead a long, normal life...help her do this.

Don't be afraid of her. Support her and love her. AIDS can be a chronic condition rather than a death sentence, but the patient must want to live (and many people diagnosed with AIDS aren't sure they want to.)
I suspect getting that diagnosis would be a terrifying and very lonely thing. Let her know that you'll be there for her. She needs you now more than ever before.
