You could look in the recycle bin and recover anything of use, but I wouldn't worry about the cookies, history, etc. I clean mine all the time and it doesn't hurt anything!

Clearing cookies is fine. At worst, it means you will have to reenter some information on some web sites.

The question of why did he clear the cookies is more interesting. Was he trying to eliminate the traces of visiting somewhere?

cokkies are ok to clean up, ther are cookies in every file you download so your computer can open a page faster , but will get clogged and slow down performance, use windows disk cleanup and you will be fine, some pages may load slower but programs themselves will run faaster and dont forget to defrag tooo

i dont understand...what do you want to do that you can't now? clearing cookies is not a bad practice. You just might have to log into some sides you didn't normally have to before...hope you remember your passwords....

if there is a problem with the pc you can do a system restore.
start/allprograms/ accessories/system tools/ system restore
in there you can pick a restore point from today if not the day before and restore your pc back to a time befor the mistake was made
