When I stand on a step stool, I start to sweat, shake, rock and shimmy back and forth, feel dizzy, face is drenched in sweat, nose runs, eyes burn, and feel like I just want to fall backwards, and by the time I make it to the top of the little 3 step, ladder, I'm short of breath and my knees turn to jelly and I got the shakes, what a mess! been this way all my life when ever I have to use a step stool or small ladder! Is that called: Fear of heights?

Yes, I am. I will get scared even being on the 3rd floor. Pretty much any overlooking makes me start having ideas of falling and try to hold on.

I can handle going on a plane, but not a a Ferris wheel or helicopter.
When I go up high stairs I don't stare at the ground.

Me too. I hate heights. If I HAVE to fly somewhere I need drugs from the Doctor, otherwise I freak out. I don't know where I got that fear from. Weird isn't it?

i am.. extremely. during my school camp last year, just watching my team mates do their high elements, i get scared.. when it was my turn, i pleaded with my teacher to just let me climb to the middle of the so-called-log and let me come down. also, i do not even dare to look down from my balcony... lol

I don't mind high places, but I'm deathly afraid of being on the edge of a high place.

I never knew that I was...until I climbed up on the roof one day to help my husband, and when it was time to come down...I couldn't come down. I was up there for hours and he threatned to call the fire department to get me down.
