He was a freedom fighter in the true sence of the word. He gave up his cushy life as a doctors son and med student to tour South America. He met with such injustice and exploitation in some countries that he decided to fight for equality of his people. That's when he met Fidel Castro they took up arms and liberated Cuba from the strangle hold of the Maffia. And though it may not be perfect, The Cuban people have known a lot of progress since the revolution in regards to health, education, housing, employment etc. Che was a strong advocate for education and health improvement. Unfortunately Che was forced to play the policticians role which didn't quite fit him. After a few years he picked up his role as a freedom fighter and moved to several revolutionary battlegrounds to end up in Bolivia. Things went seriously haywire over there, and after a few months he was caught by the Bolivian military. The CIA had been sent in to help the Bolivians fight Che(it is said by pressure of United Fruits Company) They had him executed the next day. The only thing they didn't realise was that they made a marter out of him and a hero to his people.
Viva che
y Viva la revoluccion

I think it's amusing how the likeness of a '60s counter-revolutionary who was killed in guerilla combat is now a fashion statement.

I'm pretty certain that most of those who wear his photo on tee-shirts or other articles of clothing don't really know who he is or why he's famous.

His picture has become just another commercial logo and I'd bet he's turning in his grave. (LOL)

he wished for the poor to have some means of fighting against the unfair structure of oppression in which they found themselves, without a way of escape.

He was a psychotic terrorist murderer who killed thousands of people.

I can't stand losers who venerate him and wear his face on t-shirts or bags, etc.
