Depends. I'm not sure I want my money in the kitty pool. Marriages end because of money conflict so I'm not sure it would be in the worlds best interest to merge our money. Seems like it would bring about more conflict.

we're are doing it wayyy too fast & with little or no concern for our own country or citizens well being. Republicans & Democrats both have it solidly wrong on this issue. Ross Perot was right, do you hear the great sucking sound ? I do. & not in a good way either ! You have no options at the polls to fix it, only at the cash register. But have you even TRIED to 'buy american' lately ? It's all but impossible even if you try very very hard ! I think America is screwed if we don't get better control over the trade situation & keep some jobs in the US. We can't all be asking "Would you like fries with that ?"

How early in your studies of economics are you? Basic reasons are economies of scale, benefits of specialisation (the division of labour), exploitation of your comparative advantages, & market-price access to global supply of resources (whatever is relatively scarce in your country... usually it's capital and expertise, but if you are Kuwait it's cheap labour).
