Yes they would. I have written on this before.
They used militias during the American Revolution because they could not take the British head to head on the battlefield.
In today's definition of insurgents and terrorists, that would be considered both.

I guess anyone can be looked upon as a terrorist depending on their actions! I am sure the founding fathers had to do much killing in order to achieve the Revolution. From what I remember they fought against an army fair and square unlike that thing in the white house who bombed Iraq in darkness killing thousands of civilians. Bush is the real terrorist

The adage "One mans terrorist is another mans freedom fighter," applies here. I don't think they would be called terrorist but more like freedom fighters. They (FF) were fighting for peoples rights. The people we consider terrorists are trying to keep people from obtaining rights by oppression. Do some research on the Taliban and radical Islamic beliefs and you will find that they are very very very different from what our founding fathers were fighting for.

England, at the time, considered the Founding Fathers of this nation as terrorists. I guess it all depends on who's doing the name calling.
In certain circles, Usama bin Laden is a hero as was Adolf Hitler and everyone else was a terrorist, or threat to their state.

NO they fought the British Government and Army. With an established Army, with a declaration of war, with fags flying. Even the Colonial Militias if they were not in a regular uniform, fought with flags to identify them, and only fought British troops.

Well you see, they didn't send ships into the docks in london and blow up abunch of innocent people including women and children. They also didn't hide behind behind human shields and fight their war. See, terror is required for one to be a terrorist. The America patriots did not terrorize the citizens of England. So no they weren't at all terrorists, they waged a very smart war against a superior foe and won with determination and tactics.

No.
The founding fathers may have been thought of as many things, but not terrorists. "Terrorists" kill civilians in order to force governments to change their policies. Our founding fathers fielded militas and armies in order to fight the British army, but at no time did they target civilians.

Ben Franklin once said something similar to this:
One countrys terrorist (criminal), is another countrys freedom fighter/HERO.
Not exactly those words but the same meaning.
The ENGLISH considred our founders to be criminals, & by the defination of terrorist then... (not today).
But they never killed innocent children or people unlike todays terrorists.

Yep, the FBI would have been ransacking their homes without a warrant under the Patriot Act in no time.

yes, it has gone too far.
everyone is blaming the wrong people for the wrong reasons.
your friends' son would still be alive if it wasn't for that clownmonkey Bush. it was Bush's decision to send troops into Iraq and soon enough, more young son's of America will die there because they are fighting a war that cannot be won by conventional weapons.
you are fighting an enemy who does not fight fair and does not care about innocent children. they will kill all who get in their way.
Bush is going to call upon more young men in America to fight for this war that is truely meaningless. Why do I say that?
because it will help nobody but his own buddies. All the contracts to rebuild Iraq will go to his golfing buddies and friends of Dick Cheney.
All your friend's mother will get for her son's death is a letter from Donald Rumsfeld saying how great her son was and it won't even be signed by him..it's a copy of his signature!!!
what an insult!
seriously, Bush is the problem.
those protesters are wrong for slamming the military..the military are just doing their job.
Bush is the problem because he's telling the military to go fight for something that doesn't make any sense whatsoever.
and what's worse is what's still to come.
Bush will draft more young men to fight in Iran in the next month or so when that war will begin.
