Yes,it is very illegal and in 1 country is punshible by death. However in the U.S.A.it is a misdemener unless some other car hits it then you are automatic at fault for being illegally parked. And hence your insurance has to pay for the damages to the car that hit yours and rates go up.Its a stupid law but I always park correct to make sure that if some jackass hits my car I dont have to buy him a new one!I was joking about the death but for real I have had the experience my sister after she got her learners premitt while backing out of the drive way backed into the side of a car who was parked accross the street from us facing on coming traffic as in the left side of the road and the owner of that car got a ticket from the police. Also a neighbor 2 doors down had a car parked facing oncoming traffic and another neighbor down the block who had a habbit of speeding down the street hit it and again the illegally parked car owner got the ticket and had to pay for damages.Maybe the law is different in Oklahoma but I go out of my way to make sure when I park along a street I park with the rear of the car greeting the oncoming traffic on the right side of the road

It is illegal (against the law) to park in the opposite direction of the traffic on a one-way street. When you attempt to move your vehicle, you will be blocking the progression of oncoming traffic, travelling in the wrong direction on a one-way street, and will be obstructing traffic, which may result in being issued a citation for a moving violation.
In some locations, it is also illegal to park on either the left-hand side or right-hand side of a one-way street, and there will be signs or colored curb on the "NO PARKING" side of the one-way street to assist you in making the correct parking decision.
