This happend to my teenage son and believe it or not what worked was ordinary DUCT TAPE! yes, we wrapped his hand with it and left it on for about two weeks and when we took it off, no more warts! He didn't want to try it but after every other way failed including 4 trips to the doc to burn them off and every liquid wart remover they sell, the duct tape is what finally worked. The pediatrician actually told us later that it was scientifically proven to work, so how about that for simple? Good luck.

I still remember getting warts frozen off when I was a kid. Ouch! Try to avoid that one--unless he has some local anesthetic.
One of my friends actually performed wart removal on herself. I'd explain the process, but somebody might be eating. Also, I don't think it was the smartest thing she ever did. It did work though. What about the wart removal bandages? Check your pharmacy. Good luck.
PS I liked blondambition's idea. So many, many uses for duct tape.

Tape the white side of a banana skin to the part of the hand infected. The chemical reaction in the banana skin will kill the warts (cut to size and change it every 3-4 days) and it is painless compaired to a doctors visit.
I did it and it worked! Wart gone!

The store has some new stuff called freeze away or something. It is made by Dr Scholls, it is one of the better wart removers. I think this is what doctors use too pretty much. You should be able to find it at your local drug store too.

You can use the over the counter remedies. The Curad bandages that have the wart remover in them are pretty good. Your health care provider can remove them with cryosurgery(freezing) or by using acid to burn them off.

The "best way" is to see a Doctor about it, but I'm guessing you want to treat it yourself. Try Compound-W.... follow the package directions and your son ought to do just fine.

Instead of spending money trying to find a treatment that works, why not take him to his doctors & have them frozen off.
It is apparently painfree. My nephew has his done.
Good luck :-)
