Beckham should be concentrating on his club career and play well enough to get recalled to the England squad. The England team is a lot better without the circus that surronds Beckham and he has been a pale shadow of the player he was once, but if hed said nothing then the newspapers would have misconstrued it,ur damned if u do and damned if u dont.

No, not really. I'm not a Beckham fan and am usually 1st to say when he is being a bit of an idiot. It is his life, and his career so I think it is really good that he is saying something about it. I hope or his sake he exceeds his aim of 100 International caps!!!
Imagine what you would have to say if he silently retired and didn't fight for his dreams...no matter what the guy does, someone will still complain. At least he is being a man about this situation, and a gentleman at that...GIVE THE GUY A CHANCE.

I think he probably feels justifiably insulted, the man is only 31 years old, and every time I see him playing lately, someone has to say, "He is nearing retirement" or some other silly dip sh*t comment, like he was as Old as Moses. Talk about giving the guy a complex!
It is obvious why youth is mandatory, but he literally has up 5 or 6 years of great play in him if he takes care of himself....somebody tell the media and fans to stop speaking of him like he is headed for a retirement home, and maybe Becks wont be so pissy, as he has been lately.
All the crap we say about these guys must get to them after a while, and especially if you were the beloved player of world as Becks was until recently. I think he should come to America and Capt. one of our teams, and really inspire the US in the beautiful game, and everyone...just go back to bashing on Ashley Cole, or Wayne Rooney. I mean they are really the wanker Brothers already!..

In my opinion David Beckham has served England as player captain not just with skill but with passion, belief and love for his country that out shone everyother team member. the manner in which he stood to attention and sang the national anthem from his heart said it all.
Other members would do well to follow his example. Furthermore, I personally object to the kind of language used by Chris Rogerson in respect of David Beckam, I find it unfair and totally unnecessary.

Freedom of speech allows him to talk about it.
But, why would he want to talk about it when, after his world cup perfomance he is surprised that he was dropped, he was cr*p, and does not deserve to be included in the new England line up. Steve McClaren has to play the best players he can, not play them because of who they are - he was captain too long and should have been dropped last year.

Yes! I mean he used to be good, but not really all that good anymore is he? And besides, he's famous everywhere for being married to Vic, but its not like his faithfull to her. They should just get lost! and by the way, he's still playing for Real, so its not like he's unemployed! He's just a pain in the ***! Terry rocks!

Yes. Clearly him time is over and his services no longer needed by England team. Furthermore, he should support and encourage the new team to lift their spirit.
