In England, various people are allowed to call on your door and try and sell or buy goods and services. You can ask them to leave your premises. In short, they are thorough and utter nuisance, but can be worse than that.

No, I've never been cheated, because I know it's *my* door and I can open or close it to whomever I like. So I close it, sharply. Let them stand on the step!
Don't people in Britain have spyholes in their front doors so they can see *if* they want to open it or not?

Someone called & tried to sell a stair lift.

He was still talking at me after 2 hours, so I invited him in & killed him.

He is now in the deep freeze in the cellar, which isn't a problem except I have nowhere to store my fish fingers. Can anyone help me?

Damn telemarketers! Get a real job! Answering the door naked does seem to help, though.

they don't knock on my door , think the beware of the rottweiler sign puts them off
