Still have the right to complain about the way the government is doing there jobs? Come on people wake up! How can you sit at home and complain when you don't even go out and vote? It's sad really when a country as great as America only has a voter turnout rate of 30%, or less. Come on people, if you don't get out and vote then shut the Hell up! I spent 30 years in the Marines fighting for your rights to do it! But all I hear is whining and complaining! Get out and vote, let your voice be heard! Is anyone as tired as I am about this? Please let me know, Thank you!

I voted, and was absolutely thrilled with the outcome! You are right, why would Americans not vote? But you know what?...After some of the things I've heard for the past two years, I'm almost glad some people are not voting! I know people who won't watch a press conference, they won't check out the current affairs, and how they are being handled, they know so little about foreign policy,or the enemy we deal with ,that it is almost embarressing to even discuss anything of this nature with them! Now I'm not pretending that I'm anything special,...I'm a country girl with a family, who loves America, thats it! But in the day we live in theres no excuse for people not being informed on at least the basic's. This person I know ,who disagree's with my view politically, came to me wanting to debate the subject,...and we tried,,,,but he knew so little facts that I had to say thats enough! He just wanted to talk about how he didn't like this or that ,but couldn't give one fact to back himself up. Most things that we tried to discuss he had to say he knew nothing about it, in this day , thats crazy! But he still had all kinds of opinions,he just couldn't tell me why he felt that way, couldn't give me a better way, he just wanted everyone to talk and get along! Maybe he should schedule an appointment to talk to the killers...hope he makes it back out alive! If they were reasonable people, would they be killers in the first place? Come on people, wake up,our country must begin to care for herself, and put her own needs first, ...IF she is to remain a safe home for our children, and their children!

i agree. only people who vote have a right to complain about what the government does. i desperately wanted to vote in the last election but was hospitalised and unable to. i was very disappointed and frustrated and i'm still not too happy about it. i will vote next time if i'm able. i think what discourages many people from voting is sometimes there's no clearly superior candidate. sometimes it's hard to decide who is the lesser of the evils.
