certainly....

if a serious "accident" takes out thiose clubs that will finish ahead of Pompey, say a plane crash or two, couple of Busses, a kidnapping of the whole team(s). Perhaps this is something your new owner could introduce (daddy must have a few munitions lying about the house.... and kidnapping & extortion would be a breeze if he has any connections)

Lets face it Chelsea will win AND Trafford Town, Liverpool, Tottenham & the Ar8e are probably going to fight out places 2..5. So that leaves Pompey to fight it out with Newcastle, Poss West Ham and the rest like Everton, Poss Villa, Wigan, Boro. There may even be some wild card teams (unlikely:Charlton, Man City)

If the defence keeps watertight , possibly. But I feel top half of the table (8/9) is more realistic, they will not score enough even the current forward line.

U must be kidding. They are lucky so far. The defence is waiting to be opened up soon. Sol will not last the whole season.
