Isn't everyone, selfish and mean.
Only those of us who do not realize a basic fact of life that personal survival will give room to supportive activity, understand this selfish and meanness.
Yes some people are sick, they get kicks out of being mean and selfish, but if you were to see in depth, no one wants to be bad to others.
Sometimes we do things for others while being totally unaware whether it is needed or not but we do it anyway and then we look for a reward and appreciation of any sort. In my opinion, this is being selfish and mean, to do something in return of an expectation of being reciprocated.
Look at this way, if you slap someone across the face (not too hard, according to you) should you expect to be hit back at the same place with a similar intensity? NO. You can expect to be even beaten up for your act.
Once your act or word is out of you then it is the recepients judgment (based on their moral and social understanding and depth) to react accordingly.
Why should you expect to be reciprocated for something that you did out of your sheer good will and good intention.
On the other hand if you were promised a reward and you had agreed to a specific return and received the same then you have gotten what you bargained for, no worries. In case you have not received what you had agreed upon for any reason then you need to be smarter to ensure you secure your interest before feeling bad about it.
As of today any such claims of fraud and mistreatment are considered a weakness in the person who is suffering from it.

I agree...but I think their focus is more on keeping their penis entertained than anything else. If you really boil down most of the decisions they make in their personal lives you will find that their core reason for doing pretty much anything is their penis! Sad isn't it? Some friends and I actually did an informal study comparing personality traits and the way guys treat people and their penis size....now that was entertaining! Not surprisingly we determined that the bigger the penis the generally happier the guy! :(
I know mine will think for days and talk for hours about something that he perceives as a problem in the bedroom...but try to talk to him about anything that is actually important and he can not be bothered. I swear..I told him that I'm soooo unhappy since we moved here that if being miserable was fatal I'd have been dead 6 months ago...nothing, no reaction or response whatsoever...but he did wonder for a week why one particular orgasm didn't seem as strong......well DUH!! It truly makes me sick!

I don't. Every ones selfish to a certain extent. If you really love someone tho its not like that, you always look out for each other. I personally think women in general are way more selfish than men. Think about your explanation...they work hard to pay the bills to make others happy and keep them happy, that seems pretty unselfish if you ask me.

My boyfriend doesn't realize that I work 11 hour days 6 days a week, and when I come home I may be tried. But no he wants me to cook and clean the rest of the night. Then he gets upset when I don't sit down and watch a movie with him. He has realized a little that I can not do everything, so he has helped cleaning and cooking, but still everything is about him most of the time. I love him dearly and I let him know when he is frustrating me.

I don't agree-you cannot have possibly met 95% of the men on this planet,so therefore your question is probably aimed at the men you have met and who have given you a hard time-you may have issues with this...which only you can sort out-but please,do not tar 95% of men with the same brush.

Each man is different, each woman is unique. When will we rise beyond these generalisations? And every person is selfish. We always do things to keep ourselves happy - be it consciously or subconsciously. Regarding some basic traits of men and women, they are made that way and this difference should be celebrated...

To a point I agree with you but, men are the way that they are socialized to be. They are taught while young to put themselves FIRST and to place importance not on love, friendship, caring but on money making ability and their penis size. They are taught to blame others for their problems. We are taught to blame ourselves for other's problems LOL. I could go on. However, I was talking with a friend about this. She said "Socialization doesn't let them off of the hook! If it did we would do the same with racist! We would say well that is how they were trained from birth and they can't help it that they hate ____ (whoever it is that they hate). My mother once said that she married my father for three reasons: his smoldering good looks/body, his sexual abilities and because he was an excellent financial provider. Her best girlfriends however were where she went for emotional support, caring, a shoulder to cry on and for friendship. I've learned to try and do that in my life also. It keeps down anger and frustration with men and makes me appreciate the limited things that they can bring to my life.

It is so amazing to me the women that cant pick a good man. I am a great listener with a kind heart' that tries his best to treat a woman with the utmost love and respect. Be her lover and her best friend and there for her when she needs me. Now if I could only find a woman that knows what she wants!!!!!

95% of men are selfish? No way...get your facts straight.
The actual truth is 95% of men are shellfish. You know, like crustaceans.
