my doctor told me it is normal since the baby in the last months begins to make pressure on the lungs due to its size in the last months of pregnancy.

Stay calm and lay down & rest a lot.Take advantage of it and rest. It will be better when the baby drops down to ready for the birth. I had 2 boys over 8 pounds and could hardly breath sometimes till they dropped. Couldn't even sit in the dentist chair till they reclined it. Then everyone came in to see how the baby kicked so much. He came sunny side up and kicking like a mule. He's now 36 years old and a fine man & I lived through it all.The other son is 30 a Tech Sgt in the US Air Force flying in a helicopter over the US Capital in Washington DC helping to protect our country. I hope you have a happy healthy child. Motherhood is the best job in the world.

It is very normal and your explanation is correct. I had the same thing. Very uncomfortable but just take slow deep breaths through your nose and exhale out of your mouth.

Uncomfortable is to be expected... if it begins to be "hard" to breathe, than it is time to get to the doc and have them take a closer look at your O2 levels.
