I’m not exactly an animal expert but I’ve seen enough films and television to know chimps and horses and parrots and dogs are trainable enough to respond to written scenes for them.

But raccoons? I always assumed they were to wild by nature to be trainable.

The raccoon having a tug of war with Marin over her wedding dress on ‘Men In Trees’ tonight was pretty damn funny. However did they get the raccoon to respond like that?

Always Right, how can you tell it's it's a young or old raccoon? I mean, watching the scenes with that raccoon in it I certainly couldn't tell. It really was weirdly funny.

Same way you'd teach a dog or another animal. If a falconer can teach an osprey to give up its meal and I can teach a rat to do almost as much as a dog (but more than a cat) it's all about positive reinfocement(treats) Stone consistency, and starting with a young one.

Not familiar with the movie. Remember the tv series Beverly Hillbillies? A trained racoon was featured. Humans are remarkable creations. We can train most any animal.

They can be trained a little when young, but they get mean when they are older. You cannot tame a racoon.
