I have comcast, can I record anything on T.V. including movies and payperview if I get a dvr and hook it up through my cable and tv.

Yes. Some cable companies though, require that you call them at their (800) number for them to program your DVR to accept Pay-Per-Views, (Like Cox Cable for instance, 'cause I just set one up today for my sister).

Yep...I Have Dish Network, And I Record PPV Movies/Events To DVR Then To My Computer To DVD :-)

Yes! But it is illegal. If you get caught it is a pretty hefty fine. And even jail time. Just letting you know because I have been reading a lot of articles about this. And they are cracking down on it.

I have had the same problem, as long as you leave your cable line hooked up to the reciever it will record your shows without a problem
