I guess if you like living in a haze, and killing your brain cells, then go ahead and be stupid. Just don't let me see you smoke near your kids.

I've never tried it but I would legalise it tomorrow. I don't doubt that it can harm the mental health of a small minority but I would argue that they had a pre-existing problem anyway which was simply exacerbated by using it. It's definitely better than alcohol as it doesn't have a violent social impact.
I also feel that if it were legalised and people were allowed to grow their own it would take out the first rung in the criminal drug market and undermine organised crime.
My children have all tried it at some stage in their lives and they are all perfectly well balanced. Alcohol tends to bring out the worst in people and is more likely to affect detrimentally, those in the social group, whether they be friends or family.

The only agro stoner i've eva met was agro cuz he was using tobacco as spin, n he didn't smoke any other time. So he was hangin for the nicotine n blamin it on the buds. I wish they would legalize pot. I laugh when the 'Drugs r bad mmkay' lobby say marijuana is as bad as the hard core drugs or a 'gateway drug' cuz i've been a friend of the cheeba for over a decade n i have NEVER tried anything else n i know i'm not the only one!. I'm a mellow lil vegemite n quite content to remain that way- i'm not hurtin anyone. Plus i have neva had a hang over from smoking like what u get from alcohol! its never made me throw up, to date, n has actually helped settle a seedy stomach.

Marijuana is most definitely safer than alcohol or cigarettes. Alcohol causes liver problems, and cigarettes cause almost every single lung cancer. Marijuana, on the other hand, while it does decrease your sensibility for a short time, has no proven permanent negative effects on any part of the body.
If politicians were smart, they'd legalize marijuana and place a tax on it. Everybody buys it anyways, so instead of throwing people in prison/ jail, might as well make some money off of it to build schools, repair roads, and pay cops, etc.

I think it should be legalised.
Its safer than alcohol and tobacco, and even safer than most foods on the supermarket shelves which contain poisons.
In fact it think it should not only be legalised, but mandatory.
If everyone had a reasonable dose every week, then the world's agression would be eliminated, we would have no terrorism or war, so we could get rid of these daft secret services, and save enough in taxes to provide every family with a free supply.

My view on marijuana is quite different than when I'm not on it.
I think marijuana is not anywhere near as harmful as cigarette smoking or drinking. It does a minimal amount of harm to the lungs and heart as compared to cigarettes and it does not harm the liver the way alcohol does.
I suppose if the idiots in office were thinking, they would legalize marijuana. Mellow people don't raise hell about being unhappy with idiots in public office and they tend to be content with alot of things they wouldn't be content with otherwise.

Marijuana is much more harmful to the user than cigarettes. 1 Average Marijuana blunt, bowl, etc. equals approxiamtely 1/2 a pack of cigarettes ( in harm done to the user ). Other than that, it marijuana itself causes few social problems. Very little dependency. The drug itself doesn't ruin your life like cocaine or meth can. I'd like to see it legalized. Tax it, big time. 100%+ Tax. Use that tax money on drug education, and counter narcotics operations. Create marijuana laws similiar to alcohol laws. Not only would we have more money to combat "hard" and "dangerous" drugs, but our economy would see a nice boost. Chips and soda sales would be through the roof!

Quality control is non existant. It could be weak or strong or weird.
Mental illness from strong dope is on the rise. It is not called dope for nothing.
Alcohol is measurable in it effect. Drink for fun. If you drink to get drunk that is the first step to being an alcoholic. Stay aware at all times and do not drive.
The human body has a long history with alcohol.

While it's not my thing, I feel there is no reason to prevent anyone else from doing it, because IMO, it's no less harmful than cigarettes. And unlike alcohol, which dramatically impairs you, smoking pot makes you more aware of your surroundings (or paranoid, to put it bluntly).

I believe it should be legalize. Marijuana is a medicine that should not be abused though. Too much of anything is bad anyway.
